Stephen D. Tulanian has been in private law practice since 1977. A graduate of University of California, Berkeley in 1972, and University of San Francisco School of Law in 1976, Mr. Tulanian passed the bar on the first attempt and began his law practice in Napa. While in Napa, and, later while in Lake County, Mr. Tulanian has appeared in Northern California Courts in over fifteen different counties, including the United States District Court in San Francisco. His criminal law practice in Lake County began in 1981.

While Mr. Tulanian has extensive civil trial experience, he currently handles criminal cases only. He has participated in well over 200 jury trials in his 28 years of practice, with successful results in all criminal cases, including major felony and misdemeanor matters.

He won the first Three Strikes case filed in Lake County. Additionally, he won the first medical marijuana defense case tried in Lake County. Mr. Tulanian continues to obtain successful verdicts in all criminal cases, and he has a record of winning pre-trial motions that result in dismissals of felony and misdemeanor cases without trial.
